Loneliness can drive people to do crazy things. And that is what he did. He found her at the river bank, unconscious. He brought her back to his hut. He looked after her. When she regained consciousness, she can’t remember anything about her past.
He lied to her that she was his wife …and the love of his life. He was tired of a lonely life. He wanted a soul mate. He wanted a companion. He wanted to be happy.
But it is not easy for an ugly hunchback like him to get a soul mate. Women would never give him a second look and the heartless one would laugh at him.
The moment he looked at her, it was love at first sight. He knew when she gets better, she would leave him. Nobody wants to stay with an ugly hunchback like him.
But it appeared God answered his prayers when she cannot remember her past. She never suspected he could be lying. Initially, she hated the ugly sight of him.
“What possessed me to marry him,” she said to herself.
With time, she learned behind the ugliness, lie a wonderful man who showered her with love and happiness.

More than two years had passed. Her memory had returned. She remembered her past. She knew he had lied to her. But she was not angry.
Her old life was a life that was not filled with love. She was not looking forward to go back to her old life. She pretended not to remember her past. She let the charade go on where she was his wife and the love of his life.
