The Forgotten

Central Market // 13 Apr 2010 // by Ethan Cheng // 1 person likes this story
The blazing sun was unbearable this afternoon amidst the clear blue sky.Walking down the Central Market posed quite a challenge for me who used to air conditioning and the cold weather in UK.Beads of perspiration formed on my forehead and my clothes was drenched with sweat.
Quickly I shielded myself among the grime covered shophouses along the road and trying to cool off. While gulping down some cool water under the shaded path, there I saw it.As it was guided by some invisible hands it fluttering to and fro, up and down among the pedestrians.
Suddenly a gust of wind blew it towards me and it landed under my feet.I try to ignored it and wanted to kick it away but my conscience got the better of me, with one quick motion I picked up the plastic bag and dropped it off at a nearby litter bin and walked down the weather-beaten path.It will be a long journey.
