Prisoner

Pusat Bandar Damasara // 04 Apr 2010 // by Bissme S // 2 people like this story
YESTERDAY:"I have stopped loving you.” She was shocked to hear his confession. Initially, she thought he was pulling some kind of prank. He was always a jester who loved pulling tricks out of his hat, just to make people laugh. But this time around, he was not joking.
"I have not been happy for a long time," he said almost in tears.
Like most wives, she jumped to conclusion that there was another woman in the picture.
“I am not having an affair,” he said.
“I just stopped loving you. Marriage doesn’t suit me. I feel so trapped. I feel like a prisoner.”
He cannot provide any valid reasons for not loving her any more. But he wanted some time apart from her to find solutions to his turmoil. She had no choice but let him go.
“I can’t force you to stay with me, can I?” she said, stopping herself from shedding tears.
“You are not my prisoner,” she added with sarcasm.
He packed his bags and left. The moment he was out of her sight, she cried her hearts out.

TODAY: Six months has passed. It doesn’t look like he will be coming back to her. He is enjoying his new found freedom.
“I have never felt happier,” he tells his best friend.
“I feel liberated.”
But it is different story with her. She is in misery without him. She wanted him back in her life. She has not stopped loving him and she believes she will never stop loving him. Following her best friend’s advice, she will be seeing a Bomoh (Witch Doctor) tomorrow night, to get him back. Indeed, loving someone who used to love you can be one of the saddest things in the world.
