She doesn't trust him. But her friends dance on entirely different tune. They believe that he has repented...He has become a better man.... He is no longer selfish... He has their best interest in his heart.
"He will make a better future for all of us," her best friend says.
"Under him, we will be a better society. You are just a skeptic. You just like to see the worst possible scenario. You just like to suspect the worst of every body."
But her best friend fails to change her mind. She is still suspicious of him. In her defense, she says: "They are only interested in power and more power. Prostitutes and pimps can repent, never a politician.”
