A City of Shared Stories – Kuala Lumpur
Every city has a story to tell and lying within Kuala Lumpur is the prospect for thousands of stories by ordinary people about life in our city.
To harness the creativity and talent in this city, is a new platform that has been developed to encourage anyone and everyone to upload short stories based on various locations in the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur.
City of Shared Stories Kuala Lumpur invites writers of any ability to submit short stories in both English and Bahasa Malaysia in less than 1600 characters about their neighbourhood or anywhere in the city that captures their imagination with the option to include images tagged to locations around Kuala Lumpur on Google Map.
It mirrors its sister website “City of Shared Stories” - London, and has come about in Kuala Lumpur as part of City of Stories, a project under the British Council Creative Cities programme with the aim of bringing out the many different voices in the city.
